9 Oct 2002: King & Shaxson Offers Bond Trading via Bloomberg Interdealer bond broker King & Shaxson has teamed up with Bloomberg to an electronic trading system for the U.K. government bond market. The system will allow European fund managers to trade directly in U.K. gilts for the first time, without having to place deals through U.K. subsidiaries or through expensive transaction systems aimed at wholesale interbank participants. The system, scheduled for launch in the coming weeks, will be available through Bloomberg terminals. It is based on IP and XML technologies. Bloomberg hosts several transaction systems, among them specialist services aimed at the U.S. corporate bond markets and the energy markets. |
