7 Aug 2002: Standard & Poor’s Comstock Unveils XML Feed

McGraw-Hill’s Standard & Poor’s Comstock has scheduled a September release for a new XML-based version of its XpressFeed data feed.

The new feed will offer the same mix of equities prices and fundamental data as the existing feed, which also carries some cash markets information.

S&P Comstock took 18 months to develop the feed, with the aim of improving the extensibility, integration and rapid development capabilities available to clients. The company has yet to announce pricing for the service.

The move toward XML is Comstock’s first. Its development is part of a wider project to offer XML versions of other Comstock products.
