28 June 2002: FT-ID's CMS BondEdge Adds XML to Portfolio System

CMS BondEdge has added BondEdge Pro to its BondEdge fixed-income portfolio management system. BondEdge Pro make use of XML and other formats to introduce portfolio processing from a single screen.

The original BondEdge system allows portfolio managers to create more than 100 standard reports as well as an unlimited number of customized reports. Using BondEdge Pro, clients can create and save an unlimited number of combinations of portfolio and report settings and organize them from a single screen. They can then automate the portfolio reporting process, using Pro's various output options, including XML, Excel and HTML.

Teri Geske, senior vice president of product development, says: "BondEdge Pro provides an intuitive interface that allows clients to, for example, tie a portfolio to a particular index, where every time you run a particular report or set of reports, a given index is automatically associated.
