29 May 2002: SS&C Pushes Cross Enterprise (XE) Application Platform

SS&C, providers of investment and financial management software and related services, is actively promoting its XML-based Cross Enterprise (XE) module, which ties together two of its key accounting and reporting systems products.

CAMRA, SS&C's flagship product, is a portfolio management, reporting and investment accounting system. Antares is a complete trade order management system.

Both of these systems carry the XE module, an application platform that communicates events, such as approved trades, between Antares and CAMRA and other systems provided by the company.

XE ensures delivery of accurate, real-time information from external straight-through front-, middle-, and back-office systems. Using XML-based messages and Microsoft Corp.’s MSMQ messaging services, XE is aiming towards achieving T+1 and eventually T+0.
